In the jungle, a boy named Mowgli lived with a family of wolves. Mowgli had two friends, Bagheera and Baloo. Bagheera was a big black cat. Baloo was a friendly bear. One day, Mowgli met a scary tiger called Shere Khan. Shere Khan: ‘You're a person, you are not part of the jungle!’ Mowgli felt scared, but Bagheera and Baloo protected him. So Mowgli learned to climb trees like a monkey. And to swim like a fish. Mowgli: ‘You can't scare me, Shere Khan!’ Shere Khan: ‘Yes, I can! This is my jungle!’ But Mowgli stood tall, and he chased Shere Khan away. The animals in the jungle were happy for Mowgli. Bagheera hugged Mowgli and said: Bagheera: ‘You'll always be a part of this jungle, Mowgli!’ From that day, Mowgli knew he was part of the jungle, with his animal family.
