Tasty Rex: ‘Ahhh, summer is here! and I'm ready to go on holiday to the beautiful Italy!’ Tasty arrived to Italy, and he could smell delicious food. Tasty Rex: ‘Hmm! Pizza, spaghetti, gelato, and my favourite: Lasagne.’ Alessandra: ‘Tasty-Rex, is that you?’ Tasty Rex: ‘Alessandra Ankylosaurus!’ They greeted each other with two kisses on the cheek. Alessandra: ‘My friend, you're just in time to help me cook vegetarian lasagne! Come with me, I'll show you how.’ Alessandra: ‘The first thing that you need to know is that lasagne has three important parts: the sauce, the cheese, and the noodles.’ Alessandra: ‘To make the noodles we need flour, eggs and olive oil.’ Tasty-Rex grabbed the ingredients and mixed them. Alessandra: ‘Now let's put the dough in the machine!’ Tasty Rex: ‘Cool! This machine stretched the dough into long and thin noodles.’ Alessandra: ‘Now we need to let these noodles rest.’ Alessandra: ‘While the noodles rest, let's make the sauce and mix the cheese.’ Alessandra: ‘To make the sauce we will need vegetables, and crushed tomatoes.’ Tasty Rex: ‘Ready here with the ingredients, let's cook them in the pan!’ Tasty Rex: ‘Smells great! I'll season it with basil.’ Alessandra: ‘Basil is very important in Italian cuisine.’ Alessandra: ‘Lasagne has a layer of different cheeses.’ Tasty Rex: ‘Here I have some mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan.’ Tasty Rex: ‘The cheeses are now mixed. This lasagne will be delicious!’ Alessandra: ‘But don't get ahead, we still have some things to do.’ So they started to make layers with the ingredients. Alessandra: ‘First goes the sauce, then the noodles, after that the cheese, and repeat.’ When they finished, they put it in the oven. Once the lasagne was ready, they took it out of the oven. Tasty Rex: ‘Yum, now I know how to make delicious lasagne!’ Finally, Alessandra and Tasty ate the vegetarian lasagne together. Tasty Rex: ‘There's nothing better than sharing a meal with a friend!’
