When Jane Goodall was young like you, she lived in London with her mom and dad. On her birthday, her dad gave her a present, 'This is for you, Jane!' 'A stuffed chimpanzee! I'll name it Jubilee.' Said Jane, giving a hug to the stuffed chimpanzee. Her mother's friends didn't like Jubilee. 'It's scary!' They would always say. 'I know it's not a regular teddy bear but it's the best present that I have!' Jane took Jubilee everywhere with her. She took him to the park and to restaurants too. Jane took Jubilee to the park. Where they played in the slide. 'Yahoo!' Jane shouted, when she went down the slide with Jubilee in her hand. Jane took Jubilee to a restaurant. Where she put watermelon on its plate. 'Chimpanzees like watermelon! I know you are not real, so I'll eat this piece for you.' Jane took a bite of the watermelon. Jane loved Jubilee so much that she even went to sleep with it. And before she fell asleep, she said: 'When I grow up, I want to be your friend'. When Jane grew up she became the biggest expert in chimpanzees. Now she keeps her beloved Jubilee, somewhere where she can always see it. She always remembers that her love for animals, and for chimpanzees started because of Jubilee.
