Autumn is here, and there are leaves on the ground. Gaf: ‘I love Autumn! In Autumn, leaves turn red!’ Monkey: ‘I don't like red leaves. Why do leaves turn red?’ Gaf: ‘That's a great question, let's find out!’ Gaf: ‘Look, there's a squirrel painting a door. Squirrel, did you paint the leaves red?’ Gaf Squirrel: ‘Oh no, I didn't paint the leaves red, I'm painting my door. Grab a paintbrush and help me!’ Monkey: ‘Look Gaf, there's a snail eating a red tomato soup. Let's ask him why the leaves are red.’ Gaf: ‘Oooh, maybe you spilled your red soup on the leaves.’ Snail Gaf: ‘No, no, no, I didn't spill my soup on the leaves!’ Suddenly, the wind started to blow... Monkey: ‘Ugh, it's very windy! Let's go home, Gaf!’ Gaf: ‘Yes, let's go home, Monkey, we'll never find out why leaves turn red in Autumn.’ Gaf and Monkey walked home. Then, they saw a bird fly by. Gaf: ‘Oh, maybe that bird knows why, leaves turn red in Autumn!’ Gaf: ‘Hey bird, do you know why leaves turn red in Autumn?’ The bird put his suitcase on the floor. Bird Gaf: ‘Yes, I know why leaves turn red in Autumn!’ Bird Gaf: ‘In Autumn, trees get ready, for the cold winter.’ Bird Gaf: ‘So they stop producing something called "chlorophyll", that gives the leaves their green colour.’ Bird Gaf: ‘That's why, leaves turn red in Autumn.’
