One day, a mighty lion was resting in the jungle. After enjoying a hearty meal, he lay down in the shade of a large tree and fell soundly asleep. As he snored, a small mouse began to run over his body, climbing up and down his mane and paws.
Suddenly, the lion woke up, feeling something moving on him. With a swift movement of his paw, he caught the mouse between his claws. The mouse, terrified, began to plead for his life.
"Please, Mr. Lion, do not eat me. If you let me go, I promise that one day I will repay your kindness."
The lion, amused by the idea that a tiny mouse could ever help him, laughed heartily and decided to let him go. "You are so small! How could you, a mere mouse, ever help me, the king of the jungle?" he thought. But in an act of generosity, he lifted his paw and set the mouse free.
A few days later, the lion, while hunting in the jungle, fell into a trap set by hunters. A strong, thick net ensnared him, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not free himself. He roared with all his might, trying to attract the attention of any nearby animals who might help him.
The mouse, hearing the powerful roars of the lion, recognized the voice of his former benefactor and ran towards him. Seeing the lion trapped, the mouse said, "Do not worry, Mr. Lion. I will help you."
The mouse began to gnaw at the ropes of the net with his sharp teeth. Bit by bit, he made a hole in the net until the lion could free himself. The lion, now free, looked at the mouse with gratitude and said, "Thank you, little mouse. Today you have shown me that even the smallest acts of kindness can be rewarded. I will never underestimate anyone because of their size."
The mouse smiled and said, "Remember, Mr. Lion, that a small act of kindness can always make a big difference."
And so, the lion and the mouse parted ways, having learned a valuable lesson about gratitude, humility, and mutual help.

Un día, un gran león descansaba en la selva. Después de haber disfrutado de una abundante comida, se tumbó a la sombra de un gran árbol y se quedó profundamente dormido. Mientras roncaba, un pequeño ratón comenzó a correr por su cuerpo, subiendo y bajando por su melena y sus patas.
De repente, el león se despertó, sintiendo algo moverse sobre él. Con un rápido movimiento de su pata, atrapó al ratón entre sus garras. El ratón, asustado, empezó a suplicar por su vida.
"Por favor, señor León, no me coma. Si me deja ir, le prometo que algún día le devolveré el favor."
