El gato con botas - cuento en inglés
En la historia de "El Gato con Botas", el astuto felino se convierte en el héroe cuando planea ayudar a su amo, el hijo menor del molinero, a mejorar su situación. Con ingenio y astucia, el gato ideó un plan para hacer creer al rey que su amo era un noble llamado el Marqués de Carabás. Gracias a las artimañas del gato, el hijo del molinero conquista el corazón del rey y finalmente se casa con la princesa, viviendo felices para siempre.

Once upon a time, there was a miller who had three sons. When he died, the miller left the eldest son the mill, the middle son a donkey, and the youngest son, a cat. The youngest son felt very sad because he thought he had received nothing useful. But the cat, who was very clever, said to him: "Don't worry, master. I will help you have a better life."
The miller's youngest son looked at the cat incredulously. "But how can you help me, little cat? You have nothing but your boots," he said sorrowfully.
"Trust me, master. With these boots, I can do wonderful things," replied the cat with a smile.
The Puss in Boots put on his boots and went into the forest. There he hunted a rabbit and took it to the king, telling him it was a gift from the Marquis of Carabas, the name the miller's youngest son had given himself. The king was impressed and asked the cat, "Who is this Marquis of Carabas and why does he send me this gift?"
The cat replied proudly, "My master, the Marquis of Carabas, is a noble knight who lives in a nearby castle. He has sent me here to offer you his friendship and loyalty, and to bring you gifts like this delicious rabbit!"
The king was delighted with the cat's words and accepted the friendship of the supposed Marquis of Carabas. And so, with the cunning and intelligence of Puss in Boots, the miller's youngest son became the hero of the story and lived happily ever after.

Había una vez un molinero que tenía tres hijos. Cuando murió, el molinero le dejó al mayor el molino, al mediano un burro y al menor, un gato. El hijo menor se sintió muy triste porque pensaba que no había recibido nada útil. Pero el gato, que era muy astuto, le dijo: "No te preocupes, amo. Yo te ayudaré a tener una vida mejor".
El hijo menor del molinero miró al gato con incredulidad. "Pero ¿cómo puedes ayudarme, gatito? No tienes nada más que tus botas", dijo con pesar.
"Confía en mí, amo. Con estas botas, puedo hacer cosas maravillosas", respondió el gato con una sonrisa.
El gato con botas se puso sus botas y salió al bosque. Allí cazó un conejo y se lo llevó al rey, diciéndole que era un regalo del marqués de Carabás, el nombre que le había dado al hijo menor del molinero. El rey quedó impresionado y le preguntó al gato: "¿Quién es este marqués de Carabás y por qué me envía este regalo?"
El gato respondió con orgullo: "Mi amo, el marqués de Carabás, es un noble caballero que vive en un castillo cercano. Me ha enviado aquí para ofrecerle su amistad y su lealtad, ¡y traerle regalos como este conejo delicioso!"
El rey quedó encantado con las palabras del gato y aceptó la amistad del supuesto marqués de Carabás. Y así, con la astucia y la inteligencia del gato con botas, el hijo menor del molinero se convirtió en el héroe de la historia y vivió feliz para siempre.
